Who We Help
ETC provides disadvantaged and "at-risk" youth under the age of eighteen with programs designed to help foster the self-reliance and abilities necessary to overcome negative influences and steer them away from substance abuse and illegal activities that are a trap for so many children today.
For consideration of services ETC provides, a disadvantaged or at-risk child is defined as one or more of the following:
- An “at-risk” youth under the age of 18 that satisfies one, or more, of the following criteria: a. Child resides in a Single Parent, Guardian Parent or Foster Parent home.; b. Child lives in a home that relies on “Social Services” or “Government Assistance” as a primary source of income; c. Child whose Household Income is at or below 175% of the current HHS Poverty Guidelines as defined by the Department of Health and Human Services. - Referral from a Not-for-Profit organization, state agency, church, school or community program that has identified a child as “At-Risk”, in need of structure, or mentoring.
- Referral from a County or Municipal Court within the State of Oklahoma for the purpose of completing Community Service under “The Crossings Program” (defined below)
- The patient of a Physician, Psychologist or Psychiatrist who is using EAP (Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy) as a tool for the betterment of the patient. The patient must be under Eighteen years of age.
